During my tenure at Winona State University, I’ve been an active member of the Men’s Ultimate Frisbee team involved with leadership roles including captain for three years and President for one. With a background in playing Ultimate Frisbee since high school, I’m now entering my eighth year immersed in the sport. My profound passion for the game and its culture motivated me to take on the role of creating branding, identity, and assets for our team. On top of rebranding, I have created jerseys for the past three years for the team and have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to help out the program. The goal of rebranding was twofold: to instill a sense of recognition on campus and to revitalize the club, which has faced challenges in regaining its pre-COVID level of participation. With this new identity, the team was able to gain some new recognition around campus and help revive the program. This was successful by utilizing the new visual system through various recruitment techniques including posters, flyers, stickers, social media posts, and recruiting at club fair events.
